Powering on/ off the AV System

There are a number of switches near the door to the AV box.

The top plate, with the key is the Master switch. This needs to be set to On for any other switches to operate.

The bottom plate with 2 switches controls the flourosent lighting.
If the top switch is down, there will be an Orange light illuminated. This shows the other light switches have been overridden and all flouros are Off.
The bottom switch is not connected, and does not perform any function.

The middle plate, with 6 switches control the AV equipment
Details are as follows:
– Top left switch = Sound gear at AV area (console UPS, etc)
– Top right switch = Sound amps in back room, stage sound equipment (e.g. bass amp, keyboard)
– Middle left switch = Light equipment at AV area (console,..)
– Middle right switch = All lighting bars + LED lights on stage
– Bottom left switch = Video equipment (data PC, laptop, etc)
– Bottom right switch = Video Distribution equipment (camera, vis mixer.)

The concept for using this is that when you are on a role, you turn that switch on when you get there and turn it off when you have finished and packed up.

Note:
To power up sound system, you will need to turn on the top left switch, then turn on the sound console UPS which is mounted underneath the bench the sound console sits on. Then turn on the top right switch (amps) – order of switching is important.
To power down the system, firstly turn off the top right switch (stage amps), then turn off the UPS when you are done otherwise it will beep at you, then turn off top left switch (power to sound equipment).
